TRAFFIC ENGINEERING AND SERVICES




Traffic engineering is a phase of engineering that uses techniques to attain the secure, efficient and convenient movement of people and goods on roadways. It deals with the following terms to achieve the goals: geometry of road, sidewalks and crosswalks, designing and operating traffic signal modes, planning, terminals, connection of streets and highways and their corresponding networks.  Traffic engineering deals with the functional working of transportation.

Traffic engineering projects also includes designing of traffic control devices and their modification, including traffic signals and signs.  Engineers, also considerate traffic safety by investigating the locations individually with the crash rates. Traffic flow and speed sensors are also used in order to detect problem and alert the operators, so that the cause of congestion can be determined and measures can be taken accordingly to minimize the problem.
