Transportation Demand Management

Transportation Demand Management

Traffic and parking problems can be solved in one of two ways:

(1) Increase supply

(2) Decrease demand.

Increasing supply requires building new roads, widening existing roads, building more parking spaces, operating more transit services.  This can be expensive, time consuming, and in many instances unacceptable to business, governments, and/or the general public.

MJWells + Associates have prepared TDM programs for numerous federal agencies, major employers, mixed-use developments/town centers, and schools.  Our staff has expertise in market research, commuter outreach, monitoring, and campaign development and implementation

Traffic Engineering Services

Traffic Engineering Services

We are national experts in all aspects of traffic engineering. We provide traffic engineering services to private real estate developers, public agencies, and institutions, nationwide. In the past 20 years, we have successfully completed more than 4,000 traffic engineering studies in 34 states, the District of Columbia, and four foreign countries.

Transportation Planning

We have prepared hundreds of transportation master plans for private & public agencies

Transportation services and facilities support and fundamentally shape major activity centers, cities, towns, suburbs, and metropolitan regions.
Streets, trails, and open spaces frame the blocks within which structures are built. Traditional, fine-grain, connected networks of arterial, collector, and local streets offer multiple route choices, disburse traffic over multiple streets, and provide more capacity than contemporary, sparse, collector-and-cul-de-sac networks.
